This community hospital and its affiliated cancer care center provide comprehensive oncology and hematology services to the surrounding region. The facility operates within a collaborative practice environment supported by a dedicated clinical team, including chemotherapy-certified nursing staff and a fully equipped infusion clinic, ensuring providers have the resources needed to deliver high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Locum tenens oncology opportunity available due to a full-time physician resignation, with potential for locum-to-permanent placement
  • Coverage needed beginning November 2026 through at least April 2026
  • Outpatient clinic schedule of 4 to 5 days per week
  • At least 1:4 call and inpatient rounding coverage required
  • Week of call runs Friday at 8:00 a.m. through the following Friday at 8:00 a.m.
  • Weekend coverage required when participating in the 1:4 call rotation
  • On-site hospital rounding required during call weekends
  • Average daily patient volume of 15 to 20 patients
  • Patient population includes new and follow-up oncology patients as well as benign hematology patients; no pediatric patients
  • General community medical oncology and hematology experience required
  • Provider will be supported by a full-time RN, medical assistant, and chemotherapy-certified RN staff in the infusion clinic
  • Required attendance at tumor board during on-site working weeks
  • Position is not a sole-provider role
  • Ohio medical license required; candidates requiring Ohio licensure may be considered
  • Board certification required
  • On-call and weekend availability required

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
