This large tertiary care health system serves a regional population of approximately 460,000 across northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. The facility operates a combined 500-bed hospital complex with a regional network that includes 20 clinics and 7 hospitals, supported by nearly 1,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians across all major medical and surgical specialties.

Opportunity:
Physician - Nephrologist

Job Details:

  • Join an established, collaborative team of 5 nephrologists within a full-scope nephrology practice
  • 1:6 call schedule with supplemental casual/locum coverage support as needed
  • Full-scope nephrology practice including clinical nephrology, hypertension, dialysis, ICU nephrology, and post-transplant care
  • Hospitalists serve as the admitting service; nephrology functions as a consultative service
  • Inpatient practice at a combined 500-bed tertiary care hospital complex
  • EPIC EMR used in both clinic and hospital settings
  • Strong support team including RNs, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Nurse Practitioners
  • Medical directorship opportunities associated with outpatient dialysis units
  • Dialysis population of approximately 300 patients supported by units in the Duluth/Twin Ports area and multiple satellite locations throughout the region
  • Dialysis services provided across communities in both Minnesota and Wisconsin
  • Outreach consultative services provided at 3 Twin Ports clinics and 6 regional clinic locations
  • Practice includes clinical nephrology, hypertension management, post-transplant care, acute dialysis, ICU nephrology, apheresis, plasmapheresis, continuous renal replacement therapy, home hemodialysis, CAPD, and CCPD
  • MD or DO degree required; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin
  • Current fellows and experienced nephrologists are encouraged to apply
