Job description

This locum tenens role is ideal for an experienced NP or PA with a strong neurosurgery background looking for high-acuity exposure in a Level I trauma setting.

Schedule
24-hour call coverage
3x24-hour shifts (7a–7a)
On-call only, schedule TBD
15-minute response time required

Clinical Setting
Level I Trauma Center
31-bed unit
EMR: Cerner

Scope of Work
Provide neurosurgery call coverage for trauma and emergent cases
Support perioperative and inpatient neurosurgical patients
Collaborate with surgical team on complex cases

Case Mix
Laminectomy
Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF)
Spinal fusion
Brain tumors
General neurosurgery trauma cases

Support
Established neurosurgery team with APP support

Requirements
NP or PA
Active California license
BLS required
Board eligible
Clean malpractice history (no claims with payments in the past 10 years)

Additional Info
Credentialing approximately 30 days
