Aya Locums is seeking a Neurosurgeon to provide short-term call coverage at a high-acuity hospital in Arizona. This opportunity offers an intense, fast-paced trauma environment, consistent surgical volume, and the chance to support one of the busiest Level I trauma programs in the region.

• Start Date: Jan 2026
• Contract Length: Short-term call coverage
• Schedule:
o January 8 (7 AM) – January 12 (7 AM)
o January 16 (7 AM) – January 19 (7 AM)
• Call Structure: 24-hour beeper call
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 30 days

• Specialty: Neurosurgery
• Patient Volume: ~6 patients/day
• Average Surgeries: ~6/day (all trauma-related; no elective cases)
• Setting: Level I Trauma with 317 beds
• Patient Population: 100% adult trauma
• EMR: Cerner
• Environment: Extremely active trauma department with consistently high surgical demand

Requirements
• Board Certification: BC or BE in Neurosurgery
• License: Active Arizona medical license required; IMLC candidates considered
• DEA: Required and must be registered in AZ
• CSR: Not required
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: Prior neurosurgery experience required
