This short-term acute care facility provides inpatient neurological services with the clinical infrastructure necessary to support on-site neurohospitalist coverage. The facility maintains established protocols to ensure quality patient care and timely neurological consultation for its inpatient population. Support staff are available to assist clinicians throughout the coverage period.

About the clinician's workday

The neurologist will serve in a neurohospitalist capacity, providing on-site inpatient coverage during day shifts Friday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with pager call responsibilities at night. Clinical duties include managing 3-8 new consults per day in addition to follow-up evaluations for the inpatient neurological population of all ages. Call coverage is a required component of this locum tenens engagement. Board certification in Neurology and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered.
