Pediatric Neurology Physician – Locum Tenens

Location: Toledo, Ohio

Start Date: December 1, 2026

End Date: June 1, 2027

Assignment Length: 26 weeks

Schedule and Coverage

- Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Clinic Volume: Approximately 8–16 patients per day
- Inpatient Coverage: 8 hours in-house daily during the 7-day coverage stretch
- Required Coverage: One 7-day in-house stretch
- Call: Weeknight and weekend call required
- Call Type: Unrestricted beeper call
- Call Commitment: 16 hours of call while on the 7-day in-house stretch
- Additional outpatient clinic coverage is a bonus.

Clinical Responsibilities

- Provide inpatient pediatric neurology consultations and rounding
- Manage admissions and ongoing patient care
- Provide outpatient pediatric neurology services as needed
- Read EEGs
- Respond to inpatient and after-hours neurological concerns

Patient Population and Volume

- Age Range: Birth through 17 years
- Clinic Volume: 8–16 patients per day
- Average Daily Encounters: Approximately 10
- Average Admissions: Approximately 3 per day
- Hospital Size: 160+ beds

Support and Resources

- Medical assistants, registered nurses, and patient service coordinators
- Ancillary services available, including imaging, EKG, and onsite laboratory services
- Large pediatric neurology practice

Requirements

- Board certification required
- Active Ohio medical license
- DEA, CSR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATLS required
- Ability to read EEGs

Credentialing

- Estimated timeframe: 30 days
- Temporary privileges available
- Standard credentialing process
