ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a rare dual-role opportunity combining a full-spectrum clinical ENT practice with departmental Medical Director leadership within a mission-driven regional health system serving New York's Adirondack region.

Medical Director Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the ENT department
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on quality initiatives, service line growth, and strategic planning
  • Participate in peer review, credentialing, and medical staff governance
  • Foster a culture of clinical excellence, patient safety, and team development
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of future ENT providers as the service line expands

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of ENT conditions including disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck
  • Perform surgical procedures including tonsillectomy, sinus surgery (FESS), thyroid/parathyroid surgery, otologic procedures, and laryngoscopy
  • Provide inpatient consultations and collaborate with emergency medicine, primary care, and other specialties
  • Participate in shared call coverage rotation

REQUIREMENTS

  • MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
  • Eligible for New York State medical licensure
  • Prior leadership or administrative experience preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
  • Clean malpractice and license history required
