# General Physiatrist (MD/DO) – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

## Position Overview

We are seeking a **Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Physiatrist (MD/DO)** to join a comprehensive Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) practice in New York. This opportunity offers both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The ideal physician will be committed to providing patient-centered rehabilitation care and working with patients across a broad range of neurological, orthopedic, and medical rehabilitation conditions.

## Clinical Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient PM&R care.
* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients throughout the rehabilitation process.
* Provide rehabilitation care for patients with:

* Brain injuries
* Stroke
* Spinal cord injuries
* Amputations
* Cardiopulmonary conditions
* Orthopedic conditions
* Develop individualized rehabilitation treatment plans.
* Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and medical and surgical consultants.
* Work closely with internal medicine physicians and other members of the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
* Participate in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.
* Support quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives.
* Contribute to the education and training of PM&R residents.
* Utilize advanced rehabilitation technologies and equipment when clinically appropriate.

The practice utilizes innovative rehabilitation technologies, including:

* ReWalk
* Ekso
* RT300
* Xcite
* BURT

## Practice Environment

* Collaborative multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

## Qualifications

* MD or DO degree.
* **Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.**
* Candidates with lapsed Board Certification are not eligible.
* New York medical license or eligibility to obtain.
* DEA registration required prior to start.
* Clean malpractice history highly preferred.
* Must meet all applicable credentialing requirements.
* Current NPDB Self-Query Report dated within 30 days required at presentation.

* **Base Compensation: $250,000–$270,000 annually**
