Role Overview
Seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible General Physiatrist (MD/DO) for a permanent direct-hire position at a CARF-accredited, 115-bed acute rehabilitation facility in Schenectady, NY. Joining an 8-physiatrist practice, the role involves inpatient and outpatient care, utilization of advanced robotic rehab technology, and resident teaching opportunities.

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Scope
Clinical Care: Deliver comprehensive inpatient/outpatient PM&R management for brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury (SCI), amputee, cardiopulmonary, and complex orthopedic patients.

Advanced Technology: Utilize robotic and electrical stimulation devices (ReWalk, Ekso, RT300, Xcite, BURT).

Collaboration & Teaching: Work alongside APPs, surgical consultants, and internal medicine physicians; participate in instructing PM&R residents.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements
Education & Board Status: MD/DO; BC/BE in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation [REQUIRED] (Lapsed certifications not accepted).

Licensure & Clearances: Active NY State Medical License and Federal DEA [REQUIRED prior to start].

Background Check: NPDB Self-Query Report generated within 30 days [REQUIRED]; clean malpractice history [HIGHLY PREFERRED].

Restrictions: No visa candidates (J-1/H-1B). Candidates living within 30 miles of the facility or who applied directly are strictly ineligible.

Schedule & On-Call Structure
Shift Schedule: Standard daytime operating hours.

On-Call: No overnight call (managed by an internal medicine hospitalist team).
