Part-Time Psych NP Opportunity in New York

Job description

Position: Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location: Brooklyn, NYC Metro Area
Hours: 16–20 hours/week, flexible on any 2 weekdays (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM), optional Saturday shift up to 2:30 PM
Start Date: January 4, 2026
Contract Length: Preferred 6 months or longer

Onsite Only

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct medication management and new patient evaluations

- New evaluations: 60 mins (40 mins if prior psychiatric diagnostic completed by LCSW/Psychologist)

- Med management: 20 mins per session

- Treat patients ages 5+ for general psychiatric conditions: behavioral problems, ADHD, depression, OCD, Autism Spectrum, Bipolar

- Serve primarily IDD population (90%) with documentation completed within 72 hours

- Dedicate 1 hour for end-of-day admin tasks

Requirements:

- NP with Medicare/Medicaid billing experience

- Ability to commit to onsite schedule and flexible days

- Comfortable with documentation-heavy environment

Schedule Notes:

- Training must be back-to-back days

- Potential schedule: two 8-hour weekdays + one 4-hour Saturday

- Flexible within clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
