Queens & Long Island, NY | Adult Outpatient Psychiatry

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient behavioral health team serving communities in Queens and Long Island. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values autonomy, meaningful patient relationships, and working with diverse and underserved adult populations.

Position Highlights
Part-time schedule: 2-3 days per week (18 hours total)
On-site outpatient setting
Private office provided
Initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension
Manageable caseload: approximately 5–7 patients per day
Adult patients only (18+)
Patient Population & Clinical Focus

You will provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adults experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

Depression and mood disorders
Personality disorders
Schizophrenia and severe mental illness
Patients living with HIV/AIDS
Complex psychiatric and psychosocial presentations

We are especially looking for a provider who is:

Experienced working with the LGBTQ+ community
Compassionate, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed
Comfortable treating high-acuity outpatient populations
Requirements
Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Ability to practice independently
Active Medicare and Medicaid enrollment required
Prior outpatient psychiatry experience preferred
Comfortable using EMR systems including CARES and Outlook
