Part-Time Psychiatrist – Outpatient

Position Overview

A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Alabama is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to provide outpatient behavioral health services in an onsite clinical setting. This role offers a consistent schedule, manageable patient volume, and the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population.

Schedule

Part-time: 3 days per week

Onsite only

Patient Population & Volume

Ages 6 and up

8–16 patients per day

Outpatient behavioral health setting

Clinical Responsibilities

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management

Initial evaluations: 30–60 minutes

Medication management visits: 30 minutes

Collaborative care within an FQHC environment

Technology

EMR: Athena

Requirements

MD/DO in Psychiatry

Active Alabama medical license (required)

Must accept Medicare and Medicaid

Comfortable treating pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient setting
