About the clinician's workday
The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult inpatient populations, managing both voluntary and involuntary admissions within a behavioral health unit. Daily responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing medical management for a census of 15 patients. The position requires participation in court proceedings for involuntary patients every other Friday and offers opportunities for additional weekend coverage. Board certification is negotiable, with both board-eligible and board-certified candidates considered for this full-time Monday through Friday position.
