SPECIALTY: PSYCHIATRY – FORENSIC OUTPATIENT * *
LOCATION: NEW YORK * *

DESCRIPTION:
• Settings: vary. Familiar to a day treatment program and with the SMI population.
• Evaluations: 2PC, Competency, etc.
• Fast-paced environment. Locum would need to follow DOCCS and OMH rules.

FACILITY:
• Great for walking!
• Reason: short staffed – seeking candidates who are self-sufficient, with daily tasking.
• Computer Literate: minimum a working knowledge of Microsoft Word.

INTERVIEW TIP:
• Familiarize with the difference between a forensic prison setting, vs. a community setting.

REQUIRED:
• NY state license; active, unrestricted.
• Board Certified – Psychiatry.
• DEA, BLS, ACLS.
• One year minimum Forensic experience. Volunteering/teaching will be considered towards requirement.

COMPENSATION:
• Competitive Market Rate (rate based on availability, experience, certifications, housing, and transportation needs, etc.)
• Malpractice insurance provided.

SCHEDULE:
• Full-time. 40 hours per week.
• Mon-Fri, 8a-4pm.
