The facility maintains an established psychiatric team that includes one additional psychiatrist dedicated to inpatient care and several clinicians serving the consult service. Locum tenens coverage is sought to ensure continuity of comprehensive psychiatric care delivery across both service areas.

About the clinician's workday

Clinical responsibilities include conducting inpatient rounds in the morning and performing psychiatric consults on the Medical Floor and in the Emergency Department for the remainder of each shift. No call requirements are associated with this assignment, as a telepsych company manages evening call coverage. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for this position.
