Psychiatrist – Correctional Psychiatry Opportunity | Raleigh, NC
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist (MD/DO) for an onsite inpatient correctional psychiatry opportunity at a female correctional facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role focuses on medication management within a women’s detox unit serving a high-risk inmate population.

Position Details
Specialty: Psychiatry
Setting: Inpatient Correctional Facility
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Schedule: 3–5 days per week, Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Requirement: None
Start Date: As soon as credentialed

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
Treat patients within a women’s detoxification unit
Collaborate with onsite healthcare and behavioral health teams
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements
MD or DO required
Active and unrestricted medical license
Prior corrections experience within the past 5 years required
Strong experience managing complex psychiatric populations preferred
