Position Overview:

Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Daily Responsibilities:

Perform advanced psychiatric work, including directing psychiatric activities, monitoring trends, diagnosing, and treating individuals.
Administer specialized psychiatric treatments, assessments, and procedures as needed.
Review and analyze system data to ensure treatment plans are individualized, with decisions made in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
Ensure proper implementation of treatment plans by consulting and training behavioral health and direct care staff.
Attend weekly/monthly meetings, lead discussions, and create buy-in for necessary changes while ensuring successful follow-through on implementation plans.
Recommend guidelines and standards of care in response to regulatory changes or public health updates, as requested by the facility’s Medical Director or the state office Medical Services Coordinator.
Plan, assign, and guide the work of others as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to resident care.
Work under minimal supervision, with significant independence to make decisions and exercise initiative and judgment.
Requirements:

Board Certifications: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) required.
Education: Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree as a Medical Doctor and completion of a residency in psychiatry.
