Psychiatry Opportunity – Dallas, TX
Schedule: 7:00p–7:00a
• Any 2 days per week (Tuesday–Saturday)
• No call required — provider is onsite

Work Setting:
• Psychiatric Emergency Department (PED/PEU) + consult team
• Adult patients primarily, with infrequent pediatric psych consults in the Main ED

Patient Volume:
• Psych ER unit: Max of 10 patients per shift
• Consult team: Average 5–6 patients per 12-hour shift

Responsibilities Include:
• Initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations
• Coordination with multidisciplinary teams
• Communication of recommendations and order placement
• Doc-to-doc communication for transfers
• Consultation with other services as needed
• Completion of legal paperwork for involuntary psychiatric hospitalization
• Admission to psych observation when indicated

EMR: Epic

Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatry
