Psychiatrist – Fairfax, VA 22030 (#R10248)

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Full-Time Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide specialized behavioral health care for public safety and public health personnel through the Public Safety Wellness Center in Fairfax, VA (22030). This role focuses on evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of psychiatric conditions for high-stress, trauma-exposed professions such as law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency services.

✅ Key Responsibilities
✔️ Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for public safety personnel
✔️ Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans
✔️ Provide ongoing medication management and crisis intervention
✔️ Deliver services in-person and via telehealth
✔️ Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, peer support, and wellness staff
✔️ Address PTSD, trauma-related disorders, anxiety, depression, substance use, and co-occurring conditions
✔️ Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation and submit required reports
✔️ Assist with aftercare, discharge planning, and community referrals

✅ Qualifications
✔️ MD or DO from an accredited medical school
✔️ Completion of accredited 4-year psychiatry residency
✔️ Active, unrestricted Virginia medical license
✔️ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (ABPN)
✔️ Minimum 5 years post-residency psychiatry experience
✔️ Expertise in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and behavioral health for public safety personnel
✔️ Preferred: Fellowship in Forensic/Emergency/Occupational Psychiatry, telepsychiatry experience, or CISM certification
✔️ Strong communication, cultural competence, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
