This facility delivers psychiatric services to an adult population. The facility maintains established clinical workflows to support continuity of outpatient psychiatric care delivery. A locum tenens psychiatrist is sought on an immediate and ongoing basis to meet the clinical needs of the population served.

The area features themed gardens at Boerner Botanical Gardens, ecosystems showcased within the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, and trails and wildlife habitats along the shores of Lake Michigan at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. Additional options include breweries, bowling, museums, and over 75 attractions within 25 miles in nearby cities such as Racine and Waukesha, spanning art studios, distillery tours, axe throwing, and rock climbing.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians in this role will provide full-time psychiatric services for adult patients in an outpatient-like setting, working Monday through Friday during day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week on-site. The caseload consists of approximately 10-12 patients per day, with no holiday or weekend requirements. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management for adults presenting with severe mental illness, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety ranging from mild to severe. No call coverage is required for this assignment.
