THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Licensed Psychologist Director, you will provide oversight and direction of clinical services for the habilitation, rehabilitation, and social development of delinquent youth in a Youth Development Center/Youth Forestry Camp (YDC/YFC). Your work will involve analyzing, evaluating, and continuously developing clinical treatment programs, as well as overseeing supervisory and non-supervisory employees. In this role, you also be responsible for directing clinical treatment services, interpreting policies and regulations, and implementing best practices and minimum standards. Effective communication skills are necessary for consulting with psychiatrists, physicians, and professional staff to discuss diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic treatment programs. Additionally, you will participate in contract negotiations, facilitate clinical training sessions, and attend juvenile court and other hearings as necessary.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
Work Location: You will work at the Eastern Region BJJS worksite that is closest to your home. Possible work locations are available in Luzerne, Montour, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or intellectual disability, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

Special Requirement:
You must be in possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of psychology or possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. [Pennsylvania licensure must be obtained within one year of employment]

Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
