Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join our team as a locum tenens provider. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered cancer care while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to practice in multiple states with full locum support.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring radiation therapy
Develop and implement individualized radiation treatment plans
Perform and oversee radiation therapy procedures in accordance with clinical protocols
Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgeons, physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff
Monitor patient progress, manage side effects, and adjust treatment plans as needed
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Adhere to all state, federal, and institutional regulations and safety standards
Required Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency program
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology
Active and unrestricted state medical license in one or more of the following states:
Pennsylvania (PA)
Michigan (MI)
Minnesota (MN)
Texas (TX)
DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
BLS/ACLS certification (as required by facility)
Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently in a locum tenens environment
Preferred Skills & Competencies
Experience with modern radiation techniques (IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, VMAT, etc.)
Familiarity with oncology EMR systems
Strong patient-centered approach to care
Adaptability to new clinical settings and workflows
Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
