Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified Breast Imaging Radiologist for an onsite locum tenens opportunity with an ASAP start and ongoing coverage needs. Shifts are available immediately, with coverage beginning as early as October 21.

This is a high-quality outpatient breast imaging practice with a manageable patient load, modern technology, and streamlined credentialing.

📍 Position Details

Specialty: Breast Imaging / Mammography

Setting: Onsite outpatient clinic

Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Contract Length: Ongoing

Coverage Needed: Ongoing monthly coverage

Start Date: ASAP

🧠 Case Mix & Volume

6–10 patients per day

Modalities:

Mammography with tomosynthesis

Breast ultrasound

No MRI

No screening ultrasounds

Procedures:

Breast biopsies required

Stereotactic biopsy experience needed

Practice plans to expand into:

Contrast-enhanced mammography

Additional stereotactic biopsy volume

📊 Productivity Expectations

Expected productivity of ~70+ wRVUs per shift

Consistent volume with efficient workflow

🧾 Licensing & Credentialing

State license required

IMLC-supported for additional licensing

Credentialing timeframe: typically 30 days or less

Candidates credentialed at multiple facilities preferred

Onsite candidates exempt from multi-facility minimums, but flexibility is a plus

Board Certification required

Breast imaging experience required

Comfortable with stereotactic biopsies
