Rheumatologist Opportunity – Clinic

Health System is seeking a dedicated Rheumatologist (MD/DO) to join our dynamic and collaborative team in Ashburn, VA. As part of a highly skilled division, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of experts delivering exceptional inpatient and outpatient care throughout Northern Virginia.

About the Role

Shared Call: Participate in a shared call schedule with 9 other Rheumatologists, ensuring a balanced workload.
Comprehensive Care: The Division of Rheumatology provides dedicated consultative services across Inova’s inpatient facilities and operates outpatient clinics in the eastern, western, and central regions of Northern Virginia.
Collaborative Environment: Work alongside 9 Rheumatologists with diverse expertise in clinical care, academics, research, and specialized programs, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Specialized Programs in Rheumatology:
Our division offers several robust programs designed to address complex rheumatologic conditions:

Bone Health Program: Focused on diagnosing and managing osteoporosis to optimize bone health and prevent fractures.
Rheumatology-Oncology Program: Provides integrated care for patients managing cancer and rheumatic diseases.
Sarcoidosis Program: Designated as a Center of Excellence by the World Association of Sarcoidosis and Other Granulomatous Disorders (WASOG) in 2023, this program offers comprehensive care through a multidisciplinary team, including specialists in pulmonary disease, cardiology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, neurology, and dermatology.
Connective Tissue Disease – Interstitial Lung Disease Program: In collaboration with Inova Lung Services, this program offers advanced, multidisciplinary care for interstitial lung diseases, from early stages to advanced disease requiring lung transplantation.
Job Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient consultative care for a wide range of rheumatologic conditions.
Participate in innovative clinical programs and research initiatives.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver individualized treatment plans.
Support and participate in quality improvement and program development efforts.
Additional Requirements:

Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology.
Licensure: Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in Virginia.
Experience: Open to new graduates and experienced Rheumatologists. Fellowship training in Rheumatology is required.
Schedule: Full-time position with shared call rotation.
