Rheumatology MD/DO – Yakima, WA

Position Overview

* Start Date: January 1, 2027

* Assignment Length: 8–9 months

* FTE: 0.8

* Setting: Outpatient Clinic

* Patient Population: Adults (18+)

* Patient Volume: 16–18 patients per day

* EMR: Epic

* Facility Size: Approximately 240 beds

* Support Staff: Medical Assistant and Receptionist

* Credentialing: Typically 90 days; expedited credentialing may be available.

Schedule

* Monday–Thursday

* 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

* No call

Clinical Responsibilities

* Outpatient rheumatology consultations and follow-up appointments.

* Backfill coverage for a provider with an established panel of approximately 895 patients.

* Limited new patient appointments due to the existing provider's large patient panel.

* Patient referrals primarily include MultiCare employees and STAT or emergent referrals.

* No procedures required.

Requirements

* MD/DO

* ABIM Board Certification

* Completed Rheumatology Fellowship

* Active Washington medical license required

* DEA required

* CSR not required

* Minimum 1 year of post-fellowship experience preferred.

* Candidates completing fellowship may be considered if other qualified candidates are unavailable.

Additional Details

* Washington-licensed candidates strongly preferred for the January start.

* Client is open to expedited credentialing to accommodate the requested timeline.
